Lana Ballot is a professional artist and pastel painting instructor, living on Long Island, NY. Ocean and coastal landscape are the main subjects in Lana's work. Expressive use of color and painterly mark making are characteristic of her style.

Helen will be demonstrating how she gives a sense of mystery to a pastel painting using walnut ink as an underpainting. That particular style of painting is called tonalism. She will bring several examples of that style of painting.

Due to Covid we will not have a Spring Exhibit. Our next gallery and online exhibit will be from June 3 to June 30, 2021 with Casselberry Art Center. Stay tuned for more information.
