Orit Reuben will be presenting "Architecture in Nature"

Orit will demonstrate painting a boat from a personal reference photograph. She will teach how to create glow, and will speak about concepts such as creating dimension and depth, correct values and painterly strokes and edges.

Orit is an impressionist pastel painter. She was born in Israel to a family of artists, She is greatly influenced by her late grandfather, who was also a painter. As a child, she painted at the side of her mother, who still paints. She is inspired by the beauty of nature, and she loves to paint outdoors where she can truly experience her surroundings.

She draws inspiration from light effects and loves to observe how objects are illuminated. Her paintings often depict glow and intense light. She prefers to paint on sunny days, which are plentiful in Florida, where she lives.

Her innate sense of color results in playful and inventive color pallets. In her previous career, she was an interior designer, which is why she often includes structures in her paintings. She finds compositional balance in the combination of linear geometry and organic plant shapes. Orit is a member of Pastel Society of Central Florida, a member of Pastel Society of America, American Impressionist Society, and a Master Member of the Southeastern Pastel Society.
