Advanced Portraiture with Christine Swann
May 22, 2021 – 10:00 AM to 4:30PM – an online ZOOM class
Many of you have taken Christine's portraiture courses and were introduced to her portrait painting methodology that uses the "Stages" of a portrait.
This one day only Advanced Portraiture class will focus on the FINAL STAGES of her portraiture method.
You will start with a completed Stage 1 Contour Drawing - with no value and no shading.
Christine will take us all through Stage 2 – the Yellow or Finding the Light stage, and then we will proceed to Stage 3 – Color, and then spend the entire afternoon working on the Final stages.
If you haven't studied with Christine but have a good portraiture foundation and can create a Contour Drawing – you will benefit from this class.
Early Bird Special is $125 until April 30, then $150.

1) Christine has generously provided a excellent summary of her Power of Pastel philosophy and also provided a great summary of her methodology of the Stages of Portraiture. Both narratives will get you back into this method of portraiture and on your way to creating dynamic, award winning paintings! And you know Christine will provide even more info during the class!!
2) Refer to the three-page pdf when reading the above narrative for examples of each Stage.
3) Christine will be painting Amber during this class. You can use this reference photo or one of your own.
