This will be our first time having a booth at the Leesburg Arts Festival. Our goals are to promote the medium of pastel, and raise money for our treasury by selling mini original paintings.
A signup sheet will be passed around at the January and February meetings for members to designate whether they can spend time manning the booth, demonstrating pastel painting techniques at the Festival, and helping with set up and take down of the booth.
Members are asked to donate 5x7" paintings, and bring them to the January and February meetings. These mini paintings will be placed in 8x10" mats, with a 4.5x6.5" opening. They will have backing boards and be put in clear bags. This will allow attendees of the Festival the opportunity to purchase a small, original piece of art for a reasonable price ($20-$25).
