DESCRIPTION FOR THE WORKSHOP

Dawn Emerson's "The Spirit of Innovation" 3-day workshop:
This fun, intensive workshop is designed to introduce you to many of the techniques in Dawn's book "Pastel Innovations," as well as to some techniques with pastel and mixed media that have been developed since the book was published. By the end of three days you will find your head spinning with new ideas and renewed excitement for the wonderful medium of pastel.

DAWN EMERSON BIO

Dawn considers her studio to be her playground, and each day spent working on her artwork to be an adventure. She fuses printmaking, painting, and drawing together with a joy for learning and pushing the boundaries of the pastel medium. Dawn is the author of "Pastel Innovations" (2017) and has produced 7 instructional videos about pastel. She has been a signature member of the Pastel Society of America since 1997 and has been invited to teach both nationally and internationally. She is represented by the Peterson Contemporary Art gallery in Bend, Oregon. You can find out more about Dawn from her website at dawnemerson.com.
